The Kingdom of God is near

Often, salvation is viewed like our insurance policy—we accept the gospel of Christ so we will go to heaven after we die.
We sing songs of worship about surrendering our lives to Christ, but we fail to see that the Kingdom of God is bigger than just attaining salvation so we can gain entrance into heaven.
The Kingdom of God is now¬—it’s all around us, and we need it to permeate our hearts and minds in order to affect the world for Christ.
That’s what the gospel of the Kingdom of God is all about.

Kingdom of God

What is the kingdom is all about?
When we take the Lordship of Christ seriously we see God’s will is done, God’s way, among God’s people.
Jesus instructed his disciples to pray for the coming of God’s kingdom, and then He explained what it would look like: God’s will being done “on earth as it is in heaven.” Jesus is telling us that God’s kingdom is not a physical kingdom, it does not have political boundaries and its not found in one single location, but it is found wherever God’s will is done on earth, just as it is in heaven.
